Monster
Bass
Bass is a monster of the melee type found in Nixies Lake.
Lore
Bass is the warrior fish of Nixies Lake, a broad-bodied creature that walks on thick fins as if they were legs. Local fishermen say it was already the largest fish in the lake long before the corruption, and that no net could ever hold it.
Now it lumbers along the frozen shore and fights up close, using its huge mouth and hard head like a battering ram. It attacks head-on, with no subtlety, and it is as stubborn as an old fisherman: it will not let go of its target until it is beaten.

On Hard items drop as Nightmare (+40% to flat attributes and +30% to % bonuses); on Hardcore they also drop as Nightmare, and once in a while, very rarely, a Godlike (+80%) comes, delivered by letter.
Special enemies pay more: the Elite drops an item 38% of the time, the Champion 70% and the Ancient Monster 100%; Champion and Ancient Monster raise the item's rarity by 1 level. The jewel chance is 2× on the Elite, 4× on the Champion and 8× on the Ancient Monster. Each Reset also raises the jewel chance a little. See Special enemies (PT).
