Monster
Death Gorgon
Death Gorgon is a monster of the tank type found in Lost Tower.
Lore
The Death Gorgon is a horned demon of stone, kin to the Gorgon of the Dungeon, that climbed through the rifts up to the floors of Lost Tower. The mages tried to imprison it inside a circle of runes; the circle went dark on the Night of the Broken Seal, and it simply walked out.
It is a block of endurance: it withstands heavy punishment without flinching and bears down on a hero like a statue that has found a will of its own. It hits hard, but the hardest part is keeping up the pace until it finally cracks.

On Hard items drop as Nightmare (+40% to flat attributes and +30% to % bonuses); on Hardcore they also drop as Nightmare, and once in a while, very rarely, a Godlike (+80%) comes, delivered by letter.
Special enemies pay more: the Elite drops an item 38% of the time, the Champion 70% and the Ancient Monster 100%; Champion and Ancient Monster raise the item's rarity by 1 level. The jewel chance is 2× on the Elite, 4× on the Champion and 8× on the Ancient Monster. Each Reset also raises the jewel chance a little. See Special enemies (PT).
