Monster
Dread Fear
Dread Fear is a monster of the melee type found in Kanturu Remains.
Lore
Dread Fear is terror given a body in Kanturu Remains. In the city's final nights, thousands of people hid in the tower's lower levels waiting for the horde to pass. They are long gone, but the dread they felt stuck to the walls, and the rotten mana gave it horns, claws and a whispering voice.
It attacks up close and always from behind. First it circles the hero in the gloom, making them turn this way and that, then it leaps onto their back. Whoever keeps a lantern lit and a steady gaze learns that it is less solid than it seems.

Special enemies pay more: the Elite drops an item 38% of the time, the Champion 70% and the Ancient Monster 100%; Champion and Ancient Monster raise the item's rarity by 1 level. The jewel chance is 2× on the Elite, 4× on the Champion and 8× on the Ancient Monster. Each Reset also raises the jewel chance a little. See Special enemies (PT).
