Monster
Venomous Chain Scorpion
Venomous Chain Scorpion is a monster of the agile type found in Karutan.
Lore
The Venomous Chain Scorpion is a dark-shelled scorpion that infests the red dunes of Karutan. It earned its name from the rings of its tail, which lock together like the links of a chain. Caravan drivers say they lived in the desert before the Night of the Broken Seal, but back then they were the size of a hand.
Now they grow as large as a dog and hunt in groups. They are fast, burst out from under the sand and sting several times before vanishing again. Anyone who walks Karutan's trails alone learns to watch the ground with every step.

Special enemies pay more: the Elite drops an item 38% of the time, the Champion 70% and the Ancient Monster 100%; Champion and Ancient Monster raise the item's rarity by 1 level. The jewel chance is 2× on the Elite, 4× on the Champion and 8× on the Ancient Monster. Each Reset also raises the jewel chance a little. See Special enemies (PT).
