Lore
The Holyangel Staff is a staff of white silver and clear crystal, made by the angels who never bowed. Its light is gentle but steady, and mages say it can calm even the most restless mana.
It is the staff of a Mage who seeks balance amid chaos. It falls from Lord Silvester, boss of Uruk Mountain, and from Core Magriffy, boss of Nars, as well as from the hordes of Ferea and Nixies Lake.

The same item drops on Hard and Hardcore as Nightmare (+40% to flat attributes and +30% to % bonuses). On Hardcore, very rarely, it comes as Godlike (+80%) by letter.

Forging and refining
At the Blacksmith, Upgrade tab, the item goes from +0 to +6 with Jewel of Bless (PT) (always succeeds) and from +6 to +15 with Jewel of Soul (the chance drops at each level; on failure it loses 1 level, never below +6). Each + multiplies the whole piece (+15 makes it 3.23 times stronger). From +16 to +25 is the Ancestral Upgrade (PT), which burns Ancient items. In the Migrate tab, the whole + carries over to the Nightmare or Godlike version of the same item.
