Monster
Blade Hunter
Blade Hunter is a monster of the ranged type found in Kanturu Ruins.
Lore
The Blade Hunter is a knife-thrower that lurks on the broken walkways of Kanturu Ruins. Its ancestors are said to have been scouts hired by the city's engineers to clear the roads of beasts. After the fall they kept hunting, but they can no longer tell a beast from a traveler.
It never comes close if it can help it. It carries belts of curved knives and hurls them from above, one after another, spinning through the air. Anyone who rushes it runs into a rain of steel; anyone who takes cover behind the stones buys time to close the gap.

On Hard items drop as Nightmare (+40% to flat attributes and +30% to % bonuses); on Hardcore they also drop as Nightmare, and once in a while, very rarely, a Godlike (+80%) comes, delivered by letter.
Special enemies pay more: the Elite drops an item 38% of the time, the Champion 70% and the Ancient Monster 100%; Champion and Ancient Monster raise the item's rarity by 1 level. The jewel chance is 2× on the Elite, 4× on the Champion and 8× on the Ancient Monster. Each Reset also raises the jewel chance a little. See Special enemies (PT).
