Boss

Illusion of Kundun

Illusion of Kundun is a boss of the tank type found in Kalima 1, Kalima 2, Kalima 3, Kalima 4, Kalima 5, Kalima 6.

Lore

Illusion of Kundun is the boss guarding the layers of Kalima, from Kalima 1 to Kalima 6: a reflection of the Demon Emperor himself. Kundun cannot be everywhere at once, so he casts his shadow over every portal of his realm to measure the heroes who dare approach his throne. Each layer the hero crosses holds the same figure, a little more solid than the last.

It is an immense tank, made of will and darkness, soaking up blow after blow without losing its stance. When it gathers enough strength it unleashes Colossal Impact, a blow that makes the whole illusion tremble. Defeating it does not kill Kundun, but it opens the next layer and brings the hero closer to the true enemy waiting in Kalima 7.

Special attack

Colossal Impact: every 4 attacks, Illusion of Kundun hits for 170% of its normal damage. Loot focus: Armor (Advanced).

Drops

As a boss, Illusion of Kundun drops equipment up to Ancient, sometimes from the family after the one the map's monsters drop, and has a higher chance of jewels (Bless, Soul, Chaos). See the item list by class on each map's page: Kalima 1, Kalima 2, Kalima 3, Kalima 4, Kalima 5, Kalima 6.

Special enemies pay more: the Elite drops an item 38% of the time, the Champion 70% and the Ancient Monster 100%; Champion and Ancient Monster raise the item's rarity by 1 level. The jewel chance is 2× on the Elite, 4× on the Champion and 8× on the Ancient Monster. Each Reset also raises the jewel chance a little. See Special enemies (PT).
