Area 46

Gore Tarkan

Gore Tarkan is area 46 of 51 in Continent of Legend. It requires level 306 β€’ 2 resets, has 4 monster types and the boss Gore Tantalose.

Lore

Gore Tarkan is the desert of Tarkan after centuries of rotten mana, a sea of reddish sand where the dunes look like scars on the earth. The stone temples heroes once saw are half-buried now, with toppled columns and faceless statues. The wind smells of iron, and the sun always sets the color of copper, staining the whole horizon a sickly hue.

After Zaikan fell, the desert found no peace. The rifts beneath the sand opened wider, and the corruption that seeped out of them changed everything living there. Desert wolves grew red fur and burning eyes, the temple servants twisted into mutants and the old guards donned armor that glows with an ugly light. The sand itself seemed to turn against anyone who dared to cross it.

Gore Bloody Wolf hunts in swift packs, closing in on heroes from every side. Gore Mutant and Gore Tantalose fight up close, while Gore Beam Knight holds the line behind reinforced armor that can take a beating. The lord of the desert is a towering Gore Tantalose, broad of arm and patient as stone. When it closes in, it delivers a Brutal Strike that lifts sand across the whole plain.

Frequently asked questions

How do stages work?

Each map has 10 stages (the little bars on the area card). You advance by defeating the horde.

On stage 10 the map boss shows up by itself. Beat it with ADVANCE on and you move to the next map.

What are the Hard and Hardcore modes?

On the Map (πŸ—ΊοΈ WORLD button) there are 3 cards at the top: NORMAL, HARD and HARDCORE. Tap a locked card to see what you still need to open it.

  • HARD: opens at 10 resets. The same 51 maps, stronger, and every item that drops is Nightmare: the same item as in Normal with 30% more base stats (Γ—1.3). If you die, you go back one map (from Hard 1, to Normal).
  • HARDCORE: opens when you beat the Hard 51 boss (Hardcore 1 asks for 300 resets). Items drop as Nightmare and, very rarely, a Godlike comes: 70% more base stats (Γ—1.7), delivered by letter. If you die, you go back one map.
  • Each boss beaten in a mode opens the next map and gives a Mark (+0.3% against monsters).
  • At the BLACKSMITH, Migrate tab, an item's whole + moves to the same Nightmare or Godlike item.
What is "After the boss"?

It's in BATTLE ORDERS, on the BATTLE screen, and decides what happens when the boss falls:

  • ADVANCE: go to the next area (the default and recommended).
  • REPEAT: redo the same area's route, good for farming.
I can't beat the boss. Now what?
  1. Spend all unused points (SEE DETAILS β€Ί ATTRIBUTES).
  2. Wear your best INVENTORY items and repair broken ones at the BLACKSMITH.
  3. Upgrade your skills (SEE DETAILS β€Ί SKILLS β€Ί UPGRADE).
  4. Refine your equipment at the BLACKSMITH.
  5. Lock an earlier stage and hunt for a while to level up.
