Area 37
Scorched Canyon
Scorched Canyon is area 37 of 51 in Continent of Legend. It requires level 272 • 1 reset, has 3 monster types and the boss Scorched Assassin.
Lore
Scorched Canyon is a gorge of orange rock where a hot wind blows all year round and nothing grows but thorns. Its walls are streaked with black, as if a giant fire had swept through and never fully died. Old caravans crossed the canyon to carry iron from Cubera Mine to distant kingdoms, paying dearly for every stretch of the road.
A clan of mercenaries ruled that route and charged a toll to all who passed. When rotten mana arrived on the hot winds, the clan made a pact with the flames so they would never lose their land. The pact kept its word: they never lost the canyon, but they could never leave it again either. Their skin took on the color of embers, and their thirst for gold became a thirst for battle.
Scorched Warrior fights up close with broad blades, Scorched Wizard calls down fire from the rocks above and Scorched Assassin moves too fast for the eye, always in a pack. The clan's leader is a Scorched Assassin too, the swiftest of them all, who never shows his face. When he strikes, he unleashes Predatory Combo, a chain of cuts so fast it looks like a single blow.
Monsters in Scorched Canyon
The horde of Scorched Canyon comes in waves: the first ones on the list show up in the early stages and the last ones near the boss. The numbers are the reference values, without Reset; with each Reset the monsters get stronger.

Special enemies pay more: the Elite drops an item 38% of the time, the Champion 70% and the Ancient Monster 100%; Champion and Ancient Monster raise the item's rarity by 1 level. The jewel chance is 2× on the Elite, 4× on the Champion and 8× on the Ancient Monster. Each Reset also raises the jewel chance a little. See Special enemies (PT).

Frequently asked questions
How do stages work?
Each map has 10 stages (the little bars on the area card). You advance by defeating the horde.
On stage 10 the map boss shows up by itself. Beat it with ADVANCE on and you move to the next map.
What are the Hard and Hardcore modes?
On the Map (🗺️ WORLD button) there are 3 cards at the top: NORMAL, HARD and HARDCORE. Tap a locked card to see what you still need to open it.
- HARD: opens at 10 resets. The same 51 maps, stronger, and every item that drops is Nightmare: the same item as in Normal with 30% more base stats (×1.3). If you die, you go back one map (from Hard 1, to Normal).
- HARDCORE: opens when you beat the Hard 51 boss (Hardcore 1 asks for 300 resets). Items drop as Nightmare and, very rarely, a Godlike comes: 70% more base stats (×1.7), delivered by letter. If you die, you go back one map.
- Each boss beaten in a mode opens the next map and gives a Mark (+0.3% against monsters).
- At the BLACKSMITH, Migrate tab, an item's whole + moves to the same Nightmare or Godlike item.
What is "After the boss"?
It's in BATTLE ORDERS, on the BATTLE screen, and decides what happens when the boss falls:
- ADVANCE: go to the next area (the default and recommended).
- REPEAT: redo the same area's route, good for farming.
I can't beat the boss. Now what?
- Spend all unused points (SEE DETAILS › ATTRIBUTES).
- Wear your best INVENTORY items and repair broken ones at the BLACKSMITH.
- Upgrade your skills (SEE DETAILS › SKILLS › UPGRADE).
- Refine your equipment at the BLACKSMITH.
- Lock an earlier stage and hunt for a while to level up.
